Oli Webb set the pace in the first-ever track session held for PURE ETCR at Pau-Arnos E-Circuit as his team-mate Luca Filippi made it a one-two result for Romeo Ferraris-M1RA
Webb, who is returning to the series after missing the Hungarian event, set the pace early in the 30-minute session and stayed ahead throughout, eventually improving to a time of 1m23.031s by the end.
Filippi was just 0.082 seconds slower with title contender Mikel Azcona next up in the quickest of the CUPRA X Zengo Motorsport e-Racers.
Hyundai Motorsport N’s Augusto Farfus and John Filippi – who spun at high speed at the ultra-quick downhill right-left that begins the lap, but avoided hitting anything – were fourth and fifth with CUPRA’s Dániel Nagy completing the times.
As per usual, FP1 was contested only by drivers drawn in Pool A for the competitive action, which gets underway this afternoon.
