WATCH – PURE ETCR battery completes successful integration test

The battery that will power all PURE ETCR competitors has been successfully integrated into an electric touring car for the first time, and we’re going to show you some of the process.

We joined Hyundai Motorsport earlier this month as they visited Williams Advanced Engineering’s headquarters in the UK for integration of the ETCR battery unit with their Veloster N ETCR race car.

Watch the video (below) to see WAE Senior Programme Manager Alec Patterson explain the inner workings of the battery and electrical integration system from deep inside their production facility.

PURE ETCR’s competing cars will be presented together in public in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 9, with a first fully competitive weekend to take place at Adria International Raceway, Italy, on November 14-15 at the conclusion of the series’ promotional season.
