Inje Speedium, part the larger Inje Auto Theme Park, has the honour of hosting the final round of PURE ETCR’s inaugural season and so is certain to be where the champion receives their silverware as the year’s star performer.
Designed by Alan Wilson, the man behind Ningbo International Circuit, Barber Motorsports Park and many other renowned motorsport venues across the world, Inje is shaped like a seahorse.
Built on the side of a mountain, Inje’s full 3.9km layout features 20 corners, while shorter North and South courses, which can operate simultaneously, are 2.6km and 1.4km in length respectively.
Its first event, shortly after its opening in 2013, was a round of Japan’s ultra-popular Super Taikyu endurance series, and the Asian Le Mans Series was swiftly added to the venue’s roster.
PURE ETCR’s visit on October 15-17 represents the first time international electric motorsport will have competed at Inje, which is 160km North-East of the South Korean capital city, Seoul.
