PURE ETCR secures prestigious Russian broadcast deal with Match TV

PURE ETCR, the world’s first all-electric, multi-brand touring car championship, is delighted to announce a major new broadcast partnership with leading Russian sports broadcaster, Match TV.

Match TV’s 13 channels are dedicated to broadcasting the best sporting competitions across the country, and benefit from broadcast centres in seven major cities.

Coverage of all PURE ETCR’s five events in 2021 will feature alongside Champions League and Russian Premier League football, Euroleague basketball, Champions League handball, elite winter sports and many other properties.

Electromobility is Rapidly gaining momentum in Russia with a 95 per cent increase in sales between 2019 and 2020; most of which was concentrated in its two largest cities; Moscow and St Petersburg.

PURE ETCR, the world’s first all-electric, multi-brand touring car championship, will host its first full season in 2021 with a calendar comprising five all-action events in Europe and Asia, beginning at Autdromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi, Italy, on June 18-20.

The competing machines are the most powerful touring cars ever built with a peak power of 500kW – the equivalent of 670bhp – generated by their electric motors.
