Zengo Motorsport, founded by Zoltan Zengo, initially found success in Hungarian motorsport in club-level saloon-car series, but came to prominence in 2010 when they entered the FIA World Touring Car Championship with driver Norbert Michelisz and a SEAT Leon TDI. Michelisz twice won the WTCC Trophy for non-factory drivers and collected four outright wins along the way in SEAT, BMW and Honda machinery. They have since competed in TCR Middle East, TCR Europe and – from 2020 – WTCR. For 2021 they continue to race in WTCR while also doubling their effort to field CUPRA’s team in the all new PURE ETCR electric racing series.
