Romeo Ferraris – M1RA ensures an intriguing blend of two teams that were formerly rivals, but who have partnered for what is both sides’ maiden electric racing campaign. Luca Filippi is named alongside touring car newcomers Stefano Coletti from Monaco, Britain’s Oli Webb and Brazil’s Rodrigo Baptista. Filippi’s experience in both touring cars and electric motorsport since 2017 will be of vital importance this year as the development of the Giulia ETCR continues.

An Italian driver in an Italian car is sure to be a popular pairing in 2021. Luca Filippi brings strong credentials; the 2005 Italian F3000 Champion finishing second in the 2011 GP2 Series points. A stint in North America netted an IndyCar podium finish while a season racing in Formula E in 2017/18 with NIO introduced him to electric racing. This, plus two seasons of touring cars in 2019-20 brought plenty of knowledge into the testing phase of the Giulia.
